It's Neil Gaiman, so everyone's already read or listened to this story.
Here's all I want to say about it.
I had a very, very small literature class at a local community college one summer, five students.
We generally had detailed, intimate discussions about the works at hand.
Unlike everyone else on this planet, they hadn't read or heard this story before, so I had them listen to Gaiman reading it.
The three boys squirmed throughout.
Thin smiles crept across the two girls' lips and stayed there.
After, the girls did all the talking.
Some of Neil's best visions, succinctly scribed.
You can read it - or hear Neil read it - free at his website.
